I received some emails in response to my previous article, “Election Day”. I felt very honored that some of you sought to know my thoughts and opinions.
Here is one of the letters:
“As you probably already know, the elections in US are over. We have a new president coming in the first of the year. 100 million people voted and the two running were separated by 3 million votes. Nearly 50 to 50. I am curious what you think and how you see the future for America, the world, and how it may or may not affect you regardless where you live. What is this change we have been hearing for past year? And are there any other ideas you have in this regards?”
After much contemplation, here is what I said:
Thank you for your letter and your interest regarding my thoughts. You may also wish to go to the “vision” spotlight of stairwaytosecrets.com to read some of my thoughts on the matter.
So many people seek change but fail to see the historic changes, sacrifices and lessons of the past that have brought so many freedoms we should enjoy today. Perhaps there are too many “Babylonian” distractions that encourage short cuts and quick fixes, challenging the highways to wisdom, stability and growth.
In this “interactive video game” age that our children are exposed to, we wish “farmland work” ethics would still prevail. However, those exposed to “sleepwalker and ostrich” mentality, begin to borrow opinions from others without doing further investigation themselves.
Change is unavoidable (it comes with the territory). It is part of a pattern. There are those who would try to manipulate this pattern, not realizing that they are ultimately part of life’s master pattern. So, whether the winds of change bring storms or a clearing of them, these become part of a greater pattern that man cannot immediately detect.
In my opinion, I think we are heading for a storm (there are those who would argue we are in one), but I am gratified knowing (thinking positively) that the greater storm ahead will awaken the sleepwalker, so he will begin to hear the gentle whispers of life, that his forefathers once heard.

P.S. In a concluding answer to your other question, history shows that personal ideas and opinions can be implanted, cultivated and maneuvered. It works on a gradual scale. So it wouldn’t surprise me if that scale is heading towards a united world order. Even if man’s hunger for power should create this old pattern, gratefully, the master pattern is still in charge and would manipulate the change created by man to be the foundation for greater events to follow.

Yes I agree that we really want to return to the old farm life values, but in reality we keep wandering toward a new world order which will not serve our needs, our real family needs. As individuals and citizens our lives may be affected for better or worse by new leaders or laws – yet the test of life is how we deal with changes. In every condition we can choose – a 100 times a day how we will live & love with each other. The world may get darker, but we can become lighter.
Thanks Paul, I loved your comment! Yes indeed one of the tests of life is how we deal with its changes. In order for us to become lighter perhaps the world has to become darker. If our lives are affected by its “brush stroke”, we can find comfort knowing that we are on a road to personal discovery where each season prepares us for the next.
I have finally come to realize that if we all spent our thoughts and time on bettering our little corner of the world, we wouldn’t have to be so concerned about elections and other world situations because we would all be on the same page to begin with.
I think we’re not only headed for a storm, we’re actually in the middle of one right now! It’s coming down to the atheistic and/or immoral minority imposing their value system on the rest of Americans, the bulk of which believe in God and moral authority. As long as our country (and majority of people in it) stand for truth and righteousness, we will have God on our side. However, I fear the day is fast approaching (and may be at our doorstep) when the complacency and apathy of the average person will allow the “worldly” to cram their agenda down our throats, such that there are more that stand against us than those that are with us. Scary times indeed…
I agree with Eric; we’re in the middle of scarey times, but as we warn others and do all we can to avert danger and slavery, we have to stay optimistic and trust in Heavenly Father, because, in the end, it’s His move and He will protect His people. There have always been evil men and women, and always will be until the Savior comes, but we can’t let that stop our efforts to keep evil away from our families. All we can do is prepare to survive, do our best each day, and stay close to the Holy Spirit and heed its warnings. And pray for guidence. We’ll be okay; it’s the wicked and conspiring men and women who have to watch out.
