How are you welcoming your new year? It is a good question to ask because many of us see it the other way around, “How is the year welcoming us?”

Ponder for a moment and visualize walking along a path of rose petals. Are fragrant petals thrown at your feet as you walk, or are crushed petals blowing away from you? Are you part of a celebration, or do you see traces of someone else’s?

Most of us want to be part of a celebration, to experience joy and happiness that can be shared.  There are many willing to discover new trails; however, it is the trail within that leaves noticeable tracks for others to follow.

When this happens, life showers us with rose petals in approval of the path we are on.  Perhaps, many of us fail to see what really is infront of us, because whether we choose to believe it or not, life celebrates our existence!

If someone were to grant you 3 wishes, how wonderful would that be? Can you think of three special ones? It would be interesting to learn of our readers’ wishes. After this article, please comment on what your wishes would be for 2008.  Life is ready to grant so much more because 3 rose petals are not sufficient to cover the path you walk upon.

Greetings! Happy New Year Everyone! How will this new year be for you? I hope it will be your best one yet!  How can we create our best year? Perhaps we need to consider some worthwhile goals which can create a highway to greatness and joy.  

Have you thought about creating a blueprint that houses your personal desires? Do you know what your desires are? Perhaps posing this question is the ink to the paper. 

One goal we  have all accomplished is the fact that we are still here to welcome the new year. We can look forward to its offerings and all their different shapes and sizes. 

Challenges are part of these offerings as they help differentiate the shapes and sizes, so we have clarity to know what these offerings are. Therefore, may we find comfort knowing as we walk along one challenging path, there is another parallel path that we follow.

 We are the creators of this unseen path, and it is up to us to stay on it for it will lead us to light, truth and happiness. This is the path of spiritual or internal progression that is this highway to greatness.

If there is dysfunction or disharmony, the parallel path may disappear into a wilderness, and many can get lost; however, even this wilderness is part of life’s blueprint.  It is, therefore, gratifying to know that a major part of this drawing consists of tiny bridges of hope available for lost travelers to cross. 

 Life offers beautiful landscapes, along the winding path we travel on but if we walk it alone, how can our joy be full?  Is not a path meant to be followed? What path do you wish to leave behind? Perhaps, this is a question we all need to ask ourselves, and may be a worthwhile goal for 2008.

Many people have caught this vision, to leave good trails behind for others to follow.  Diana, Princess of Wales, was an example of this, drawing attention to charities and the down trodden. Ten years after her death, there are still many newcomers drawn to this path, offering their time, talents and service.

The seeds of Princess Diana’s work are sprouting everywhere because of her vision she shared with the world. You can do the same. If it can make a difference in one person’s life, your added touch will beautify life’s landscape.

What attention can you draw that would benefit your family and friends? If you feel that you cannot offer much, think again, as your divine blueprint has already been created. Take a look at it and decipher which goals you would like to focus on.  You may wish to share your goals and your vision with the rest of us.  You may enjoy the support!

We are making progress and are displaying talents of people from different parts of the world (Netherlands, Canada, Japan, India). The next article will reveal more of these talents, and perhaps, possibly your contribution?

Merry Christmas everyone! It is Christmas Eve, and I have a card waiting for you below. Hope you can enjoy this day without all the Christmas rush! I only have a couple of things to buy, as I chose to have a candlelit evening with harp music, friends and food, instead of shopping.

It has been my goal to give special attention to the true meaning of Christmas, and invite the spirit of Christmas into my heart. I believe it is possible to have that while shopping, baking, running errands etc; fighting the crowd, long queues, scheduled visits, it doesn’t matter what it is, as each day is a bonus.

There was a time I was in hospital, bedridden, wishing I could be out there, fighting the crowds.  I would have carried a smile and given it to others, just to be out there having the ability to walk, talk and move around. Now I can enjoy all of this, and yes, I carry that smile still, because everyday is indeed a bonus!

When one thinks of a rewarding journey, one thinks of progress.  Look at the site and see how we are progressing. There are spotlights on: video, photo, and poetry. I wouldn’t mind hiking to base camp of Mount Everest. Hiking to the top of Mount Everest is way out of reach for me and my personal desires; however, sharing this inspiring story has captivated my heart. How has it affected yours?

The next article may not take us to Mount Everest but will take us on a parallel journey.  Stay tuned!

There is much to look forward to regarding the above special topics. It will be an exhilarating and rewarding journey of personal development for all of us. As we walk together, there will be occasional invitations to view the main site to see how progress is coming along; however, it is this blog that gives life to the web site. It is my hope you will come back often.

There are books, stories, personal experiences we can enjoy sharing during this walk. We will discover many wonderful trails; some, of which, may interwine with the main site. It will be an exciting experience for everyone!

My goal is for us all to recognize the gentle whispers in life. They can open up a whole new world for us if we know how to listen. Mastering this skill is no easy task, and for some, it may take a lifetime. Is this not what a journey is all about? As long as there is movement then we are on a journey; a journey of personal discovery.

Personal discoveries reside along trails that are shared with others.  If one chooses to be alone, the terrain will be less forgiving. It is, therefore, hard for success to come to only one traveler. The wing span of success is long and spreads out to those who share the trail, making it easier for others to follow.

This is a trail I want us all to be on. In the next article, I will include a quote from my book: “Gentle Whispers” which will offer further insight to this journey.
